Frogsley Frog

Whilst outside in the garden today I noticed something moving about in the flowerbeds but wasn’t sure what it was. Closer inspection revealed it to be a little frog! I think I first saw this frog a couple of years ago in the back garden hopping about near the rosemary on the back wall of a south facing border. It was quite a small frog at the time and now has grown quite large. The thing is I cannot think where it has come from because as far as I know there are no ponds or relevant water features in my local area.

Anyway I dashed inside to get my camera and took a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure. And I hereby have named this creature ‘Frogsley Frog’ Wink

TNU – the flowering

Yes, folks it’s that time again for the latest TNU from Casa Marge. I have to report the the tomatoes on the windowsill which sit in front of the very computer I am typing at have started not only to grow somewhat triffid like, but also to flower. This means only one thing – after the flowers comes the fruits! Grin

Triffid like tomato

You may notice the plant pots are much larger.  This is thanks to Retired Father who found some very reasonable new plastic pots at a shop in town.  He also potted the plants on for me too.  I was rather busy with all the Pesach preparations at the time.  In the above photo you can just about see the yellow flowers that have formed.  The pic below shows a close up:

I am surprised at how well the tomato plants are doing.  I will now start to apply a little foliar feed once a week and possibly some extra tomato feed once more flowers are produced.  I am hoping for a bumper crop … and then I will have to work out (and post!) some recipes for you.
