In a nutshell Marge Land came about following my continual recipe posts to the .netmag fabulous food forum, and after a kind offer to sponsor and host my site by sa247.com, I decided to start my own recipe web site. This was called Marge’s Cake Stand.
Now MCS was written in html and my not being a techie meant changing to php was too steep a learning curve. I needed to find a content management system and after trying one and having no luck, I fell upon WordPress and kaboom! 
I also realised that I wanted to include more than just recipes on my site so I created Marge Land. Here you will find recipes (all kosher too), gardening info, craft stuff, and more.

I am trying out different themes for this site. I wonder if this one (GPS fluid) is a bit too formal?

Ha ha! As you can see I have made a few changes to the current theme and *ahem* I am even trying out new ones too!
