You could use a third less if you wish and perhaps add a chopped cooking apple to the mix. Chutney is indeed a condiment and goes well with meat or chicken dishes, or simply add a blob to a cheese sandwich - delicious! I hope you enjoy your chutney making. I have never had chutney before so I really don't know what to expect. Looking over you recipes I noticed quite a bit of sweet ingredients. As I do not really care for sweets, I was wondering if you could suggest some alternative to brown sugar. Also if you wouldn't mind, some ideals as to what you do with chutney, is it a condiment?
